How to do it

  1. Lie face up with your knees bent and your feet flat, hip-width apart and close to your seat.

  2. Press through your feet and lift your hips until your shoulders, hips, and knees make one line.

  3. Reach one hand between your legs and keep your other arm flat on the bed for balance.

  4. Rock or circle your hips in small movements, and lower down to rest whenever you need to.

Tips

  • Slide a pillow under your hips if you want to rest in the lifted position.
  • Keep your knees pointing straight ahead and your feet close so your legs do the work.
  • Lower down slowly if your lower back or thighs complain.
