  • Taking control
  • Quickies
  • Out of bed

How to do it

  1. Agree beforehand on what is okay and on a word that means stop right away.

  2. Have the receiver stand bent forward at the waist, feet apart, arms reaching back.

  3. Giver: stand close behind and hold the receiver's wrists or forearms with a light, steady grip.

  4. Keep the hold gentle and never pull the shoulders past a comfortable point.

  5. Move slowly, and release the grip the moment the receiver asks.

Tips

  • Check in verbally before and during, and make it easy to say no.
  • Receiver: keep the shoulders loose and the elbows slightly bent.
  • Giver: hold the arms near the receiver's lower back and not high behind them.
