How to do it
Pick a clear space next to a bed or thick mat, and agree on a stop signal together.
Standing partner: set your feet shoulder-width apart, back against a wall and knees soft.
Lifted partner: face the standing partner, fold forward, and hug their legs close.
Standing partner: grip the lifted partner's thighs and lift, steadying the hips as they swing their legs up and over your shoulders.
Lifted partner: wrap your legs snugly around the standing partner's shoulders and hold on. Lower slowly when either of you says stop.
Tips
- Skip this one with neck, back, or shoulder trouble, and keep a spotter close.
- Never let go suddenly, and untangle the legs before lowering.
- Keep each hold short, since the blood rushes to the head.
