How to do it
Move to a clear space with a bed or thick mat close by, and agree on a stop signal.
Standing partner: plant your feet shoulder-width apart, with your back against a wall.
Lifted partner: face the standing partner, fold forward, and wrap your arms around their legs.
Standing partner: grip the lifted partner's thighs or hips and lift them smoothly as their legs swing up.
Lower the lifted partner slowly and deliberately when either of you says stop.
Tips
- Skip this one with neck, back, shoulder, or blood pressure trouble.
- Practice over a bed with a spotter, and never let go of the lifted partner quickly.
- Keep each hold short, because blood rushing to the head builds fast.
