How to do it

  1. Lay a thick mat down and agree on a stop signal first.

  2. Seated partner: sit on the mat with your legs stretched out and your back straight.

  3. Upside-down partner: plant your hands on the mat beyond the seated partner's legs and kick up one leg at a time.

  4. Seated partner: catch the legs over your shoulders and hold the hips steady.

  5. Come down slowly, one leg at a time, as soon as the arms tire.

Tips

  • Skip this one with wrist, shoulder, neck, or blood pressure trouble.
  • Warm up the wrists first, and keep each hold short.
  • Seated partner: never let go suddenly, and keep a pillow pile close by.
