How to do it

  1. Giver, sit on a sturdy chair with your feet flat on the floor and your back against the backrest.

  2. Receiver, stand with your back to the giver, then kneel back onto their thighs with your shins resting along the tops of their legs.

  3. Lean back slightly and rest your hands on your thighs or reach up around the giver's neck.

  4. Giver, hold the receiver's hips and rock together in small circles.

Tips

  • Put a cushion on the giver's thighs to pad the receiver's knees and shins.
  • Receiver, take weight on your knees only gradually, because the giver's thighs are not padded.
  • Giver, a firm grip on the hips keeps the receiver steady.
