Lazy Waterfall

The same upside-down idea, but the receiver's legs simply hang loose behind the giver instead of clamping on. Easier for the receiver, with more holding left to the giver.

Good for

  • Strong partners
  • Showing off
  • Hands free to roam
  • Out of bed

How to do it

  1. Start with the receiver standing in front of the giver, facing the giver.

  2. The receiver folds forward and sets both hands flat on the floor in front of the giver's feet.

  3. The giver grips the receiver's hips or upper thighs and lifts, and the receiver lets the knees bend and the legs drape loosely behind the giver's hips.

  4. The giver stands with feet wide and does the work of holding the hips steady, with the receiver pressing evenly through both hands.

  5. To finish, the giver lowers the receiver's legs gently to the floor and the receiver crouches before coming up.

Tips

  • Since nothing is clamping on, the giver's hold is the only thing keeping the receiver up. Do not let go for a second.
  • Skip it with wrist, neck or back trouble, and call time early.
  • Come up slowly. Standing too fast after being inverted is how people get dizzy.
