Mixed Standing
One foot stays on the floor while the other leg hooks around the giver's hip. You get the closeness of a lift and the tilt of an open leg, without anyone leaving the ground.

How to do it
Stand facing each other, arms around each other, bodies close.
The receiver shifts weight onto one leg and lifts the other knee toward the giver's hip.
The giver slides a hand under the raised thigh or knee and draws it up and around their own hip.
The receiver keeps the standing foot flat, or rises onto the toes for a little extra height, and hooks the raised leg in snugly.
Move with short, rocking motions, then swap legs when the standing leg starts to burn.
Tips
- A wall at the receiver's back gives the standing leg a break and keeps you both steady.
- Swap legs often; the standing one works harder than it looks.
- Ask for what you need in a murmur. Standing this close, nobody needs to raise their voice.
