Good for

  • Out of bed
  • Winding down
  • Small spaces
  • Quickies

How to do it

  1. Stand in the shower with warm water running over your shoulders and chest.

  2. Rest one foot on a ledge, the tub edge, or a shower bench.

  3. Brace your free hand against the wall and reach the other between your legs.

  4. Move at a slow, easy pace, keeping your standing foot flat and your weight balanced.

Tips

  • Put a non-slip mat down and keep a hand on the wall or a grab bar when you need it.
  • Water rinses lube away, so reapply as needed and keep silicone lube off the floor.
  • Keep the water warm rather than hot, and take a break if you feel lightheaded.
