Good for

  • Quickies
  • Out of bed
  • Height differences
  • Small spaces

How to do it

  1. Have the receiver stand at a sturdy surface, such as a bed edge, desk, or counter, and rest their forearms on it.

  2. Set feet about hip-width apart and step back until the back is flat.

  3. Giver: stand close behind with knees slightly bent.

  4. Hold the receiver's hips and start slowly.

  5. Adjust foot positions until the heights line up.

Tips

  • Pick a surface at about waist height, and add a cushion for the forearms.
  • Giver: use your hands to steady the receiver's hips instead of pulling.
  • Take a break if the receiver's lower back tires.
